What is Local Vocal?
Local Vocal is a forum run by Tunbridge Wells Borough Council, to enable residents and visitors alike, to give their views on issues that matter to them. Through Local Vocal you can ask the Leader of the Council direct questions and receive a direct response, as well as start and e-petition or watch some of the Council’s promotional videos.
What was Local Vocal set up for?
The Council wants to reach as many residents as possible and ask them for their views and opinions on topics that are relevant to them.
Who is Local Vocal aimed at?
Local Vocal aims to encourage all residents to take part whether young or old. It is always important to gain views from a cross section of residents. We do acknowledge not all residents have easy access to the internet or are interested in surfing the World Wide Web and therefore we ensure that other consultations are offered by other means.
How does it work?
When you register, you will be asked to give us some personal details. You are asked to select a user name so that you can make your views public without showing your full name. You can respond to consultations by sending comments to us in video, MP3, image or text At the end of the consultation all views will be wrapped up and the council will let you know what they are going to do next either on the website or by email if you would prefer.
What kind of questions will I be asked?
Future consultations could include:
- Clean neighbourhoods
- Living a 'green' lifestyle
- Communicating with the council
- Fear of crime
